Members Rules and Guidance
To participate in our online activities you must agree to follow our rules and policies. We encourage active debate and free speech, but remember this is private property and you are a guest here. You therefore agree that you will cooperate with any requests of the website Moderators and/or Administrators, and give serious attention to any suggestions or recommendations you receive from them. You also acknowledge that we reserve the right to delete any message(s) or portion(s) thereof.
Generally speaking, Administrators and Moderators try to provide fair warning about behavior that might require their action. Failure to heed warnings from the Moderators and/or Administrators is grounds for suspension of posting privileges. Except in the case of malicious behavior (such as spamming or flooding) which requires an immediate response, the decision to disable an account requires the agreement of at least two Administrators, to ensure objectivity.
Moderators on this site have the duty to enforce the rules listed below. They are also empowered to make positive actions that improve the general well-being of the board and its community. Therefore, be aware that Moderators are able to take any necessary and appropriate actions.
Moderators answer for their official actions to their fellow Moderators and to the Administrators. Users may disagree with the decisions or actions of the Moderators and/or Administrators, but disagreements, criticism and the like are not to be aired within the discussion topics.
By registering and participating here you agree to respect and abide by the following standards:
The following are some but not all guidelines on the behavior required to comply with this rule. This is not an exhaustive set of rules and it is left to the discretion of Moderators and Administrators to decide what is and is not acceptable behavior.
Do not post material that is knowingly defamatory, illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, or generally viewed by a reasonable person as being a derogatory epithet.
You will not advocate what is generally accepted as illegal activity.
If a moderator cannot readily determine if a post is a joke, then it will be treated as serious material and subject to deletion/editing.
Comments about other users, insults and inflamatory statements are not acceptable.
Please exercise tact and refrain from insulting others or disrupting ongoing discussions with inflammatory speech.
Hyperbolic or overly-emotive language and imagery, such as saying "Web Masters are morons", is generally discouraged.
Calling a fellow poster "delusional", "deceitful", or a similarly inflammatory accusation, is not acceptable even if you believe that the accusation is true.
In general, any material that is deliberately goading should not be posted.
Members will refrain from retaliating to inflammatory material with further insults or inappropriate comments.
If you encounter a post that you believe contravenes the rules of the board then you are encouraged to alert a forum moderator.
Chain letters and junk mail are strictly prohibited.
You will not violate a person's privacy by publishing information that could be considered private and personal without first having obtained that person's permission.
You will not post material that is sexually or otherwise obscene and has little or no educational purpose or significant relevance to an ongoing and legitimate discussion.
You will not post, distribute or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights. Note: Everything that is published, including emails, carries an implied copyright.
You agree that if it is deemed by the Moderators and/or Administrators that any of these rules are abused the Moderators and/or Administrators are empowered to take all necessary and appropriate actions. For example, the offending message may be moved to another thread or forum, be split out of a thread, have sections deleted from it, or be deleted in its entirety--all without prior notice. If you repeatedly violate any of these rules or otherwise seek to disrupt the board then the Administrators will disable your account.
You recognize the real-time nature of this forum: we cannot always monitor the contents of posted messages, and we depend upon you to inform us when participants or their messages violate this registration agreement.
You also recognize that we cannot respond immediately to such notices and that some time may pass before any action is taken.
You recognize that we do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy of any information posted here, and that any message expresses the views of its author, not necessarily the views of this forum or any entity associated with this forum
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).
We also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or other identifying information) in the event of legal action and/or what is deemed by the Administrators to be a serious complaint arising from any message posted by you.
